How to Effectively Remove Dead Hair and Dander from Your Dog

Allergic to dog dander but can’t live without your canine friend? Careful dog grooming is an effective way to control the presence of animal dander in your home. Here are three things you should often do to remove dead hair and dander from your dog:

1 – Bathing

Frequent, thorough bathing of your dog effectively removes dead hair and dander. Research proves that washing a pet two to three times a week can remove up to 84 percent of the surface allergen and reduce the amount of future allergen produced. Unbathed dogs experience skin irritation making them lick and spread saliva all over their fur. Try this all-natural organic oatmeal shampoo for dogs.

2 – Brushing

Frequent brushing of your dog’s fur or coat helps distribute oils and reduce dancer. It also stimulates your pet’s skin making it healthy and in great condition. Find or hire someone to regularly groom your dog. If you must do it yourself, wear a mask and protective gloves.

3 – Healthy Dog Diet

Remember to feed your dog quality food to avoid allergies and skin problems on your pooch’s part. Beef and chicken tend to cause allergies, as well as soy, wheat and corn. Choose a diet that fits his condition or breed. Include Omega 3 and fatty acids in his daily meals to help his skin retain moisture. Consult your veterinarian about dietary supplements like sunflower oil and vitamins.

Tips for Choosing the Best and Safest Personal Care Products and Cosmetics

For decades now, much has been produced to cater to personal care and beauty. Skin care products like soap, body wash, lotion and makeup are regularly manufactured and consumed in large quantities. The question, however, is whether people are consuming products that do not contain harmful ingredients. The answer, of course, is written on every product label with unpronounceable chemical ingredients.

Here are some tips for choosing the best and safest personal care products and cosmetics:

* Buy soaps and body washes that have plant-based ingredients and are free of synthetic fragrances and colors. Products that contain these ingredients are naturally biodegradable.

* Opt for face and body moisturizers that are made with pure, plant-based, and botanical ingredients. It’s good to keep your skin hydrated and healthy without the aid of chemicals and synthetic preservatives.

* For awesome hair care, choose natural hair care products that are free of harmful petrochemical foaming agents and preservatives like paraben. Many products now include the term “paraben-free” on the label. Look for products that likewise rely on nature-sourced fragrance and colorants.

* Smell good without the guilt.  Go for deodorants that do not have aluminum and other chemicals. Try Verefina Aluminum Free Deodorant for Men and Women.

* Choose feminine products that are made from organic cotton. Do make sure that the product is not treated or bleached with chlorine.

When shopping for personal care products, be eco-smart and planet-savvy. This will have long-lasting and positive effects on nature. The rules are simple: choose only plant-based ingredients, avoid petroleum-based and synthetic chemicals like paraben, and go for natural sources of fragrance and colorants.

5 Tips for Cleaning your Patio or Lawn Furniture

Soon you will be preparing your patio and lawn furniture for the summer. Can’t wait, right? Well here are some tips for cleaning your patio/lawn furniture.

While there are several methods you can use to clean your patio and lawn furniture, undoubtedly you do not want to use any harsh chemicals or environmentally unsafe cleaners. Therefore, you can use items that are safe and which you already have in your home: oxybleach | eco-friendly detergent | baking soda | vinegar

* To clean the patio, it is recommended that you use a pressure washer to remove all the algae, and then follow up with a diluted bleach wash.

* Use bleach and detergent to wipe down all of the furniture and let it stand for one hour. Use the hose to rinse and let dry.

* Use baking soda if there are areas on your furniture which need more cleaning. Add water; rinse and dry.

* Add baking soda to a wet sponge; clean and rinse.

* Use vinegar for your wooden decks and patio furniture. Vinegar is the least abrasive, and easy to use. It not only removes mildew on wood furniture, but on plastic furniture as well. For the tough to get at areas, use a small brush; then rinse and let the furniture dry. If you have lawn cushions, the best method you can use to clean them would be plain old liquid detergent and a sponge. Use the same substance to clean the umbrella table as well.

Now you can sit back and enjoy the warmth of the sun; sip a glass of lemonade as you listen to the birds returning to the birdhouse you built for them last summer! You can have your morning cups of coffee out on the deck as the sun rises; and return to watch it go down at night with a delicious cocktail! You're ready for the summer!
